How To Change Our Friend WhatsApp Profile Picture without Root

Whatsapp is now one of the most used social apps which is available for all mobile platforms. I remember those days in 2010 when I started using whatsapp for the first time, at that time there were hardly a few people who used whatsapp and now we have over millions of users using it. With more than 500 million users and still counting, whatsapp is one one of the most popular apps on the Google play store.

In 2010, when I used whatsapp for the first time there were no options for emoticons or set a display picture. But today they are available and we use them daily. Display picture are used by people in many ways, either to recognize a person or to just see their friend’s new pic. But today I have a trick using what you can change your friend’s display picture using your phone. Just follow the simple steps and you can get it done.

Note: Please Turn off your mobile data while doing changing the display picture of your friend on your phone.

We will be changing the profile picture of John. The screenshots are given here.

Step 1: Select a picture.

Before changing a picture you need be ready with a picture what you are going to set. So for example you can search for a monkey’s picture on google and download it or you can even select any personal picture. You can even select your friend’s crush’s image if you are doing it for fun.

We have selected the following image:

Step 2: Resize the picture.

This step is very important before setting a picture download from some source. Resize the picture to the dimensions of 561×561 using Adobe Photoshop or MS Paint.

To do this:

Open the image in MS Paint.
Click on Resize.
Set the Horizontal and Vertical Dimensions to 561 as shown in the picture and click OK.

Step 3: Save the image into your phones Whatsapp Directory in the folder Profile Pictures.

i.e. sdcard > Whatsapp > Profile Pictures.

Step 4: Click on the picture which wish to set as the new Display picture.

Step 5: Rename the Image.

Rename the image in the format

[country code][friend’s mobile number].jpg

***do not put the square braces as they have been used just to show the format***

for example: if your friend’s number is 97******55 and the country code is +91. Then rename the image as 9197******55.jpg

Step 6: You are done. Now just open your Whatsapp and check your friends display picture.

Note: This trick will change the display picture of your friend only on your phone. So you can just try to fool him by just doing this trick on your phone and show him on your phone, surely he will be astonished how you did it and you can gain some respect as hacker in front of him.
If you have any trouble to do this trick watch the following detailed tutorial

Reliance Jio Offer 1 Year of Free 4G with Any Smartphones
Reliance Jio has been creating waves in the market ever since its preview plan offering unlimited free calls, data and SMS for 90 days went official a few weeks back. Now, as per some reports, Reliance is planning to offer Free 4G to Lyf smartphone buyers for an extended period of one year.
Initially, the Reliance Jio Preview offer was rolled out for a handful of Lyf smartphones. However, the increasing demand for Jio SIM cards possibly triggered smartphone OEMs to tie up with Reliance to provide the exclusive Jio Preview offer to their smartphone owners. The first to the race was Samsung and they were closely followed by other counterparts including LG, Asus, Panasonic, Micromax, YU, Alcatel and TCL. Recently, the Reliance Digital stores across the country also started providing Jio SIM cards under the preview offer to any users with 4G smartphones. That said, still now some Reliance stores are denying to offer SIM cards for any random 4G smartphone citing lack of information from their head office.

Nevertheless, if this new report regarding 1 year of complimentary free internet with Lyf phones (for existing as well as new buyers) turn out to be true, we may end up seeing a huge spike in the company’s smartphone sales. Last quarter reports indicate that Lyf smartphones has sprung up the ladder to occupy a fifth place in terms of smartphone shipments in India, and offers like this will only spruce up the sales figures.

It’s however worth noting that this exclusive Preview offer for Lyf phone owners may not come with unlimited voice calls and SMS, that come with the standard 3-month Preview offer. That said, Reliance may also cap the data usage for this exclusive offer to 75GB/month.

TRAI Suggests Rs. 3,050 Crores Fine on Big 3 for Denying Jio Interconnect

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Airtel, Vodafone, Idea accused of denying Jio interconnectivity
  • The trio are said to be non-compliant with licence conditions
  • Fine of Rs. 50 crores per telco per circle recommended to DoT
In a setback to incumbent telecom operators, sector regulator TRAI on Friday suggested imposing Rs. 3,050 crores penalty on Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea for allegedly denying interconnectivity to newcomer Reliance Jio.
TRAI, in its recommendation to the Department of Telecom, said it has found the trio to be non-compliant with licence conditions and service quality norms given the high rate of call failures and congestion atinterconnect points for Reliance Jio.
It also noted that denial of interconnection by these operators to Reliance Jio "appears to be with the ulterior motive to stifle competition and is anti-consumer".

As per TRAI's recommendation, the penalty for Airtel and d vodafoneworks out to about Rs. 1,050 crores each, while in case of Idea Cellular it comes to about Rs. 950 crores. The regulator stopped short of recommending cancellation of their telecom licences saying it may lead to "significant consumer inconvenience".
The recommendation came on complaint by Reliance Jio that over 75 percent of calls on its network are failing as incumbents were not giving sufficient points of interconnect that would help complete calls.
TRAI
in a detailed letter to the DoTSecretary said the action of the three incumbent operators was "against public interest".
When contacted, an Airtel spokesperson said, "We are continuously augmenting the PoIs provided to Reliance Jio and pace of augmentation has been the fastest ever done by us. Further we are in full compliance of the requirements of grade of service set by TRAI."
Vodafone and Idea did not immediately offer any comment on the TRAI recommendation. Emails sent to Reliance Jio too remained unanswered.
Lashing out at the erring operators, TRAI went to the extent of saying that the non-compliance of licence terms and condition "warrants" recommendations for revocation of licence.
"However, the authority is mindful of the fact that revocation of the licence will entail significant consumer inconvenience and therefore in view of the larger public interest involved, the authority recommends a penal action of Rs. 50 crores per LSA (circle)...," it said.
The regulator has recommended penalty of Rs. 50 crores each for 21 of the 22 circles of Bharti Airtel and Vodafone (except J&K).
In case of Idea, it has recommended penalty of Rs. 50 crores each for 19 circles where the operator provides services.
Jio has accused incumbent operators of providing less than required points of interconnections (PoIs) needed for its users to complete calls to rivals' network, while operators charged the newcomer of unleashing a "tsunami" of free traffic on their networks.
Interconnection enables mobile users to make calls to customers of other telecom networks and is, therefore, crucial for smooth functioning of mobile services.
In a statement issued on September 23, Jio had alleged that over 12 crore calls failed daily between Jio and the networks of Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea.
As per quality of service rules, not more than five calls in 1,000 should fail due to network congestion.
Late last month, as row between incumbents and newcomer Reliance Jio escalated, TRAI intervened and issued show-cause notices to operators for call drops far exceeding the norm. It had given the incumbent operators ten days to explain why action should not be initiated against them for violation of service quality norms.
In its reply to TRAI, Idea said that the show cause notice is "defective, invalid, and premeditated" and reason for poor service quality is solely because of Reliance Jio. Airtel said that the notice was premature and it is making effort to augment interconnection.
Vodafone cited inconsistent calculation made by Jio and delay on its part among reason for the row.
The regulator has given a deadline of October 17, 2016, to mobile operators to resolve the matter so that customers do not experience poor quality of service.
TRAI has observed high level of congestion in telecom networks leading to call failure on Reliance Jio's network.

How to use the Android 7.1 storage manager to free up space

Hello friends
Today i will going to tell you about How to use the 7.1 storage manager to free up space

The Android 7.1 update has arrived in developer preview form for anyone with a Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X or Pixel C and the desire to try it out. Among the pretty short list of new Android 7.1 Nougat features is a new tool in the settings called Manage Storage which is worth mentioning.
Manage Storage is, as you might suspect, a storage manager. It appears in the Storage section of Settings and provides you with two options: to manually free up space or to enable Smart Storage. While one might simply sound like an automatic version of the other, they actually do different things and work well in concert with one another.
Smart Storage

Smart Storage is essentially a Google Photos tie-in that automates the “free up space” option in that app. Enabling Smart Storage will automatically remove photos and videos from your device every 30, 60 or 90 days, but only once they have been backed up to the cloud in Google Photos.
It’s a simple option that saves you having to continually agree to the Photos prompt to free up space whenever your device storage is running low. But Smart Storage doesn’t automate all of your Android 7.1 storage solutions. There’s also a manual tool for clearing up space that works well as a complement to Smart Storage.

Manual cleanup

You’ll find the manual cleanup tool in Settings > Storage > Manage storage as well as in the overflow menu of the Storage section. Tapping “Free up space” generates a list of potential items for removal in a couple of categories, including photos and videos, downloads and apps.
You can choose to include or exclude any of these categories via the check boxes and expand them to drill down into your downloads or apps list. Simply select those files or apps you want removed and tap the free up space button. Once you’ve removed some content you’ll be prompted to enable Smart Storage which you can opt-in for if you haven’t already.
This storage optimization tool is just another of the many small additions in Nougat that really start to add up. There’s clearly a focus on automating tasks in Nougat, from seamless updates to setting notification priority to Doze Mode on the go. Storage management is just another way to improve your experience while still providing you with fine-grained control.

What is your favorite Nougat feature? What is Nougat still missing?

Oppo launches two smartphones with 16MP front facing cameras

Hello friends

Lenovo Z2 Plus (Black, 64GB)
Oppo has launched the updated versions of the Oppo R9 and the R9 Plus in the form of R9s and the R9s Plus. The two new phones are aimed at the selfie centric consumer with 16MP cameras up front on both the devices. Previously only the R9 Plus had a 16MP front facing camera. Both R9s and R9s Plus have a similar design to their predecessors, featuring rounded edges, metal body and a fingerprint scanner at the front.

The Oppo R9s Plus, which is the bigger of the two sports a 6-inch 1080p display with very slim 1.78mm bezels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC. This new octa-core SoC was announced just a few days back and is a bumped up version of the current gen Snapdragon 652 SoC. There is 6Gb of RAM and 64GB of internal storage on the device. The phone does support external storage via the hybrid dual SIM slot. It has a 4000mAh battery and is just 7.53mm thick.

In comparison, the Oppo R9 is a smaller device with just a 5.5-inch display offering a 1080p resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, which we recently saw on the Asus Zenfone 3. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be further extended using a microSD card. The smaller device packs in a 3010mAh battery.

On the back, both device sport a 16MP camera featuring Sony’s IMX398 sensor. Both the R9s and R9s Plus has a 2.5D curved Gorilla protective display on top. These devices also sport Oppo’s VOOC charging technology and it claims that in just 5 minutes of charging, the phones can provide 2 hours of talktime.

The Oppo R9s will go on sale in China from October 28 and is priced at 2,799 Yuan (27,750 approximately) while the R9 Plus will start shipping on December and is priced at 3,499 Yuan (34,670 approximately)

8GB of RAM? It could be ready in time for the Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung announced today that it is introducing a new generation of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) packages capable of 8GB LPDDR4 DRAM for mobile devices – both a first of its kind and a potential feature of the Samsung Galaxy S8, the company’s next flagship smartphone.
What does that mean? According to Samsung, next-generation mobile devices outfitted with such a chip are better suited for tasks such as dual-camera use, 4K UHD playback, and virtual reality. (Daydream, anyone?)
Samsung also adds that its new RAM package can deliver could grant tablets the type of capacity to handle multiple operating systems via virtual machine operation – a feature oft considered exclusive to dedicated PCs.

Put me in, coach!

We don’t know exactly when the new 8GB memory chips will be ready for launch, especially considering that Samsung is sitting on a still-impressive 6GB RAM chip that’s yet to see play.
However, signs point to the Galaxy S8 being quite the powerful handset, so whether it goes ham on the memory or plays it safe remains up in the air.
Samsung has been pushing a lot of power into little vessels lately, with such achievements this year including a 512GB SSD the size of a fingernail and a microSD card that holds as much as the average laptop.
Of course, in light of recent news, we would caution Samsung against being too hasty in pushing the envelope. Thankfully, RAM isn’t anywhere as volatile as lithium-ion batteries.

Airtel’s 10GB 4G Data at Rs. 259 Offer Extended to All Smartphone

Hello frnds

The Airtel offer that was only exclusive to Samsung Galaxy J series phones has now been extended to all 4G smartphones. The telecommunication giant has announced that all users purchasing a new 4G handset will get 10GB data for the price Rs. 259.

Airtel is charging Rs. 259 for 10GB 4G/ 3G data recharge. 1GB data will be credited immediately to the user’s account, and the other 9GB data needs to be taken through the MyAirtel app. This data will be valid only for 28 days. It is important to note that this offer can only be availed within 30 days of purchase of the smartphone, after which the offer is no longer applicable for that user. Also, one user can do a maximum of three recharges within 90 days.

Airtel has also specified, that it supports 4G in 18 circles in India, and for the other non-4G circles, the company will provide 3G data against this offer.

“We are proud to have pioneered 4G network for users in India. This invitational offer has been designed for our data savvy customers who can now experience high speed broadband on Airtel’s 4G network with their new devices,” Ajai Puri, Director – Market Operations, Bharti Airtel, said in a statement.

As mentioned, a similar Airtel 4G data offer was made available first to Samsung Galaxy J series smartphone. To avail the offer, new Galaxy J series smartphone owners need to visit a nearby Airtel Retail outlet and ask for the offer to be activated, or, log onto http://offers.airtel.in from their smartphones using Airtel mobile Internet (not Wi-Fi), and follow the instructions.

Jio welcome offer will now ends on 3rd december 2016

Reliance will be ending its Welcome Offer, which gives users free Jio service -- data and calls included -- for 90 days almost a month from its scheduled closure. The offer will now end on December 3  instead of December 31 because apparently Jio cannot offer free services for more than 90 days. The Welcome Offer was launched on September 5 and hence it had to close by December 3.

Update: Jio has confirmed that the Welcome Offer will end on December 3. But it adds that those who already subscribe to it will continue to get free unlimited data and free unlimited calls until December 31. Those who want to join the Jio network after December will have to subscribe to a commercial plan.

"As per RJIL's filing with the TRAI, the JIO WELCOME OFFER (JWO) will be available to all the customers for subscription till December 3, 2016. RJIL wishes to reconfirm that JWO benefits of free unlimited voice and data will continue to be available to all subscribers till December 31, 2016. The consumers, who cannot subscribe to the RJIL services till 3rd December 2016 will continue getting opportunities to avail new offers and tariff plans from RJIL," said a Jio spokesperson.

At the same time, Jio also says TRAI has noted that "the tariff plans offered by it are fully compliant with regulatory norms of IUC compliance, non-predatory and non-discriminatory."

Earlier Jio has said that the Welcome Offer would end on December 31. The company had said that it would start charging for data services like ISD calls from January 1. The company had also filed a tariff plan with TRAI.

However, fearing the buzz and popularity created by Jio, other telecom operators had requested TRAI to look into its validity, accusing Reliance of predatory pricing -- Jio services are free for now -- and unfair competition. TRAI, however, has found that the Jio services and the company's Welcome Plan are totally fair and legal. However, it does agree with the premise that the Welcome Offer cannot be extended beyond 90 days.

Right now it is not clear how Jio will react to the TRAI's order. But the likely possibilities are two: Either Jio will bring the date of commercial launch forward and start charging for services from December 4 or it will announce a new offer to the Jio users, which will help it circumvent the 90 days rule.

It is not clear what sort of impact the TRAI order will have on the Jio service, though a positive impact is likely. Of late the quality of Jio service is going down in a significant manner and almost all of these issues can be attributed to the number of users, who drawn in by the free offer, have clogged the network. Once the commercial operations start it is possible that the number of active Jio users will come down, leading to better service to those who pay for it.

The orders also offers some respite to current market leaders like Airtel and Vodafone. Currently, they can't match Jio in terms of price because Jio is free. But once Jio's commercial operations start, they may be able to compete better.
